Student account (status: autor): It is necessary to have a Studentische Nutzerkennung in order to register to the system as a student.
If you have already started your studies you will receive your Studentische Nutzerkennung when you pick up your student ID.
Students that are not entitled to get a Studentische Nutzerkennung (e.g. guest auditors) can receive a Stud.IP-account without a Studentische Nutzerkennung if they provide a respective certification. You need to go to the “studIT – IT-service for students” (chip card issue point at main lecture building/ZHG) and bring the certification and your ID card.
Lecturer account (status: dozent (in some cases: tutor)): University staff members are usually automatically transferred from UniVZ to Stud.IP and subsequently their accounts need to be activated in Stud.IP. For this the lecturer needs to be added to UniVZ. Then your account can be activated and you will receive your login data.
In exceptional and urgent cases we can create a temporary account. However, this is more complicated. By all means we need a request from the department you are working for.
